PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- Norfolk State topped UMES, 75-63, to improve to 7-1 in MEAC play on Saturday afternoon. 

The Hawks were led by Evan Johnson and Kyrell Shaw with 21 points apiece, and UMES trimmed a double-digit deficit down to five in the second half. But the Spartans generated 14 turnovers and shot 24-for-34 at the line. Brian Moore Jr dropped 17 points in the win.
