The Sussex Central Golden Knights faced off against the Appoquinimink Jaguars in the DIAA Class 3A Quarterfinals. The Golden Knights won 31-28

The Sallies being back here should be of no surprise to anybody. The defending DIAA State Champions have bullied their way through every in-state program and are now one win away from going back to the Final. They'll have to get past the Sussex Central Golden Knights, the team that defeated them in the 2021 State Championship.

Salesianum finished their regular at 9-1, and their offense is still just as lethal as it was last year. What's different this year? Their defense. While this component of their game was still high powered last season, this year they have only gotten better. They have allowed just 93 points in the regular season. And against Delaware opponents, that number drops to 53. Needless to say, the Sallies are going to be a very tough opponent for the Golden Knights.
