DAGSBORO, Del. -- The Indian River Indians' Football team defeated the Polytech Panthers 30-22 in the DIAA D1 State Semifinals earlier tonight, clinching a spot in the State Title game for the first time since 2011.

Despite the steady rain that was falling in Dagsboro all night, the Indian River offense seemed to be operating at its usual clip, as the Indians were cruising through three quarters of play. Primarily sticking to the ground game, all four touchdowns came off rushes as Junior Running Back Darnell Stokes kicked things off with a score, which was then followed by consecutive scores from Senior Jayvion Chandler
