Junior Bree Moffett and Senior Ava Pierce combined for seven of Smyrna's Eight goals in their 8-0 shutout Victory over the Middletown Cavaliers to advance to their fourth consecutive DIAA D1 State Championship game.

DOVER, Del. -- The Smyrna Eagles' Field Hockey team controlled their semifinal matchup against the Middletown Cavaliers from start to finish, as they came away with a rousing 8-0 victory earlier tonight to advance to the DIAA D1 State Championship game.

Smyrna had no trouble generating offensive pressure, as the Middletown was forced to spend the majority of the match playing defense trying to get the ball across midfield.
