STEVENSVILLE Md. – James M. Bennett Clippers basketball team defeated Kent Island 75-68 in the teams first game of the season. 

The win did not come easy as the Clippers found themselves down after the first quarter, trailing 16-15. The deficit did not last long as the Clippers stormed back and took a comfortable 18-point lead into the half, leading 46-28.
