STEVENSVILLE, Md. -- The Queen Anne's County Lions were roaring extra loud this evening in Stevensville, as the Girls' Lacrosse team toppled Bayside rival Stephen Decatur 6-4 to move on to next week's MPSSAA 2A State Final.
This was a defensive battle early on, defined by stout goaltending. Queen Anne's County goaltender Madeline George and Seahawk goalie Addison McDaniel each made several key saves on scoring chances and free positions. Offense was hard to come by, as Decatur took a slim 3-2 lead into the break.
