NEWARK, Del. -- For the third time in four years, Caravel Academy defeated Sussex Central softball in the DIAA State Title on Friday night. 

The Buccaneers drove in both runs in the sixth inning. Senior Madge Layfield struck out eight and allowed just three hits in her final start for the Golden Knights. Hear from Layfield and Coach John Wells following the highlights from tonight's game above.
