In the Battle of the Seahawks, South River completely dominated in every aspect of the game and take home the Class 3A Regional Champions plaque following a score of 68-22.

EDGEWATER, Md. – South River dominated Stephen Decatur 68-22 in a decisive postseason victory. Decatur struck first with a basket from Lila Gunther, but South River quickly took control as Karlee Hawkins and Cami Burke led an early surge. A strong defensive effort, including key plays from Skylar Woodyard, helped South River build a commanding 16-2 lead after the first quarter.

By halftime, South River extended its lead to 44-9, fueled by steals and fast-break points. Hawkins, Burke, and Adella Norton capitalized on turnovers, while Sami Clarke drained a corner three to add to the rout. Decatur struggled to break through South River’s stifling defense, managing just four second-quarter points.
