Cape Henlopen faced off against Smyrna field hockey at Delaware State University. The Vikings won 2-1.

DOVER, Del-- The Cape Henlopen Vikings traveled north to face off against the Smyrna Eagles in the DIAA Division I State Championships. The Vikings secured their first goal of the game in the second quarter. Followed by another goal in the third quarter. Smyrna answered back with an eagle goal, making the score 2-1. For the remainder of the game, both teams tried to secure additional goals. But the score ultimately remained the same. The Vikings won the DIAA division I state champions title with a 2-1 victory.
