SMYRNA, Del-- The Smyrna Eagles and Tower Hill Hillers faced off in round two of the DIAA Girls Basketball State Tournament. In the beginning of the first quarter, Smyrna and Tower Hill were tied 2-2. But it was Smyrna's Gabrielle Royal who scored a two pointer that broke the tie. For the remainder of the night, the Eagles found themselves in the lead. Tower Hill tried to fight for the leading spot, but Smyrna's defense was too strong. The Eagles went on to secure an 82-54 victory and their ticket to the quarterfinals.Â
